I was recently invited to attend the AudioCodes North American Partner Forum. This is the US version of the forum that John Ross and I attended in Israel last fall. The event this year was held at the Denver Renaissance Downtown Hotel, which is housed in the old Bank of Colorado building. It was fancy schmancy!
Like last time, this was a small group of about 25-30 people – an advisory board of sorts – focused on the AudioCodes product portfolio and the Microsoft Unified Communications (UC) Solution. We spent two full days together with keynotes, corporate overview, technical deep dives, and a smaller strategy session with the COO Lior and VPs of Marketing, Eric, and Sales, John and Patrick, discussing various interesting things.
Much of the discussion was around One Voice Operations Center (OVOC), the full suite of hardware, software and services that AudioCodes offers the UC Market.
One of the really cool interactive sessions was a keynote from CK (visit her website or her Twitter – your choice) where the State of Innovation and the State of Change in the world was openly discussed. It was quite interesting and lively engaging to discuss these topics from all of our points of view. CK was a great speaker and I think we all learned something.
Before we wrapped up the larger sessions and broke into smaller advisory sessions, there was a panel on “Living With the Cloud” and how Microsoft CloudPBX was disrupting the UC market. It was quite interesting to hear the various perspectives (both positive and negative) in the room. AudioCodes is certainly strategically aligned with what Microsoft is leading with CloudPBX and I’m hopeful that 2017 will be a key year in breaking free from the on-premises reality that is Microsoft UC today.
I’m humbled and flattered to be able to represent Mirazon at this AudioCodes Forum. We are strategically aligned with AudioCodes as our go-to Microsoft UC partner. We are using more and more of the OVOC portfolio and our partnership is growing year over year. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the forward-thinking strategy discussions come to fruition. 2017 is going to be a GREAT year in UC!
I’ll leave you with a few random pictures of the week. Being in the old Bank of Colorado building, they incorporated some of the vaults into conference rooms. That was cool.
I also had a free day on Tuesday and spent the afternoon exploring the Rockies at the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park. It was breathtaking to watch the sunset over the mountain peaks. Plus, I had a bonus encounter watching a mama bear and her cubs play off the side of the road. I’m looking forward to what adventure await at next years AudioCodes Partner Forum!
