Mirazon is a proud partner of Veeam Software, an innovative provider of backup, replication and virtualization management solutions for VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, which has received high compliments this month. Veeam is an excellent software to pair with virtualized environments.
The annual conference held by Microsoft was in New Orleans at the beginning of June. Vendors, resellers, IT professionals, and fans all came together at the conference to see what was new with Microsoft and its partners and vendors. Veeam received a Best of TechEd award for its Backup and Replication v6.5 . The Best of TechEd awards, co-sponsored by Microsoft and Windows IT Pro, recognize Microsoft partners that offer innovative products and services for the industry. The judging included interviews and detailed evaluations of the products.
The award judges said that “Veeam Backup and Replication provides essential backup and replication for an increasingly virtualized world. Instead of merely tolerating the virtual environment, Veeam leverages it to provide the most comprehensive protection for the virtual infrastructure.”
Gartner Magic Quadrant
Veeam has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Visionaries” quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup/Recovery Software. Gartner Magic Quadrants are a culmination of research in a specific market, in order to give a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the market’s competitors. This is the first time Veeam has been included in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup/Recovery Software.
“We believe our inclusion in this year’s Magic Quadrant is further confirmation of Veeam’s success in providing large enterprise customers with powerful, easy-to-use and affordable data protection solutions built for virtualization,” said Ratmir Timashev, President and CEO of Veeam.
These two major accolades come at a great time for Veeam, who is gearing up for next quarter’s release of Veeam Backup & Replication v7. This update features two disruptive innovations: built-in WAN acceleration and the ability to back up from storage snapshots, plus seven other market-leading features and more than 50 additional new features and enhancements. Veeam can truly enable IT to tackle the ‘3C’ problems with capabilities, complexity and cost.
